White Lady of the Wopsie

This isn't a story but more a question. Has anybody ever heard the tale of the White Lady of the Wopsie? I don't know if I am spelling that correctly or not. I was told the story recently by someone from Bedford County. I know wopsie is an abbreviation of a mountain. It is an Indian name. If anyone knows the story could you please post it here? If you are to shy to post, could you contact me personally at: micksghosts@gmail.com? I would appreciate any info. I like doing paranormal research and investigation. I am particularly interested in local folklore. People say that folklore is simply stories made up for one reason or another but it seems to me that there is always a little truth involved. If you would like to find out more about me and what I do, please visit http://www.myspace.com/micksghosts and/or just email me. I am also seeking info on the Old Lincoln Hotel in Manns Choice. If you have any info or know of any other stories, please let me know :-) Thanks Pat and everyone for your time.

Mick

White Lady of Wopsy
by: Patricia

Hi Mick,

It's really nice to hear from you again. I just wanted to let you know that I have a page on the legend of The White Lady of Wopsy you can find it at:

www.pennsylvania-mountains-of-attractions.com/whiteladyofwopsy.html

or just click on Haunted Places and it's listed on that page. Wopsy Mountain Road is really spooky and I have met people that swear they've seen her. I keep telling you, you need to bring your paranormal team here. :)

I hope you get more information about the old Lincoln House. You never know who visits here so you just might luck out.

Talk to you again soon Mick,

Patty
