Take a step back in time and bring your family to Bedford County and enjoy an old fashioned Colonial Christmas at Old Bedford Village. Interact with historical Pennsylvania Christmas traditions from the 1700s & 1800s. Isn't it time to get your family away for the malls and watch their faces light up when they see, hear and smell the entire experience of the true meaning of Christmas?

The Old Bedford Village is a living history museum located in the Allegheny Mountains of PA, not too far off the beaten path of the historic Lincoln Highway. Old Bedford Village offers a variety of educational and entertainment activities through the year such as; Military and civilian re-enactments, 38 historic log and stone buildings, colonial crafts demonstrations, exhibits and instructions, festivals, and murder/mystery evenings are just some of the ways to bring the past into the present.

You're going to love seeing all the old buildings and artisans at work and the carolers walking through the villiage filling the air with the sounds of Christmas.

The smells of fresh gingerbread man cookies fill the air as well as the aroma of hot food from the food tavern. Old Bedford Village is a wonderful experience for the entire family, young and old alike. A living history museum comprised of buildings from the 1700 & 1800 time-frame, portrays life on the early frontier of our Nation. Interpreters throughout the Village educate you on the lifestyles through various periods of early America and teach you about many crafts that were necessary to sustain life.
