The Triangle

by Bethany
(PA)

I heard from a friend about this Triangle of trees near a golf course in Berwick, PA and how it was so haunted. Well, the story is that there was witchcraft that used to be practiced there. Well I went to see for myself and it was about midnight and my friend told me to stop the car and turn off my headlights, so I did. We were stopped right in front of the entrance...at this point it was pitch black yet there was a bright light in the middle of the forest and a child like figure started walking towards my car. I was so freaked out I bolted.

the "light"
by: Anonymous

ive been there and walked all the way to the "light" and back. as i was growing up i have heard many spook stories about the place. last time i was there was about 4-5 years ago and we were drunk. the cops came and took me to a friends house. anyway the point i was getting at is it is a hit or miss with this place. eyes playing tricks on you and whatnot. pretty fun when your 16, but not when your almost 30

Not so scary
by: Anonymous

Lived in the area my whole life. Went here one night in HS, nothing happened. Then again I didn't walk through the "Triangle" because its constantly patrolled by local cops. The only thing "scary" about it is the legend and how the trees are just there, in the middle of an open field but I saw nothing and nothing happened. Considering going back next October to see if anything has changed in 10yrs:)

witness accounts
by: Snapps

Me and a group of 5 went up id say about a week ago, first time was about 9pm just got dark, walked into the woods, saw something swaggering towards us in the light at the end, and i heard some whistling, and that was a little over the quarter of the way in, so i went back to the car and the other kid walked down the road and the pole on the right hand of the road going towards route 11 he heard screaming, and i heard faint noises as we rode by it slowly, and in the past ive seen a ghostly guys in the woods across from the woods i kinda nicknamed him overall willy, due to his 1930's apperance, seemed like a nice guy and ive seen a blue ford pickup in the barn, like a 1918ish style, but other then that we went back a second time, this time about 1am, and saw swaggering and the ppl we were with heard screaming in the basement of the old barn area, and then the briar creek police came, luckily they were nice and let us go with a warning, but i believe it is def haunted maybe do a quick driveby with a digital camera and see what i can pick up as far as entitys that may be in that area. any questions or comments or even hints, please contact me, im very interested in2 finding out what really happend in the area.

i was there last night. i work down the road a few miles and a bunch of us left work at midnight and drove over. it was creepy. and we thought we heard low noises. almost like crown noise from a distance. it was a full moon but the woods themself where so darkit was hard to tell what you where seeing. i did see some thing moving about 50 feet ahead of us but it could have been a deer or bear. hard to tell. it didn't make noise but some times they don't either.
it is cool but i would not drive too far to see it.

Ghostly Tale of Witchcraft
by: Patricia

Hi Bethany,

I'm sure there are a lot of areas in the PA Forests that have been used to practice witchcraft. I have no doubt it's still practiced today.

You gave me the chills when I read about the ghostly child like figure that started approaching your car. Yep, I would have bolted at that point too.

It was great to read your ghostly tale, thank you so much for submitting it.

Patricia
