The Dead Bridesmaid

by Robin Rodgers
(Brookville, pa, jefferson county)

I live in Jefferson county, pa. This same story was told to me twice and I do not know the name of the small cemetery. It is on a back road. A beautiful young woman in the late 1800's was about to be married. She had her dress ready. There was another man who wanted her, and was soo overcome with anger he killed her than to see her with another man. She was buried in her wedding dress. Many times, children and adults on this old back road have felt a presence, turned around and chased the people on foot if they are walking. Then if she gets close enough she has no face. Just a big white dinner plate.

You Had me Going until the Dinnerplate
by: Patricia

Hi,

You really had me going until you said about the dinner plate. This sound like one of those campfire stories.

Thanks for sharing,

Patricia
