Bryn Mawr College in southeastern Pennsylvania has several academic buildings dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One that stands out is Thomas Great Hall, named for M. Carey Thomas, an early (and now controversial) president of the school. Despite modern condemnation for expressing openly prejudiced views during her tenure she's still recognized as one of the Colleges's greatest proponents who made major contributions to its programs and scholarly reputation.
While I don’t have direct confirmation, there've been many reports over the decades that President Thomas' devotion to the College was so strong that even almost 100 years later she can still be seen late at night walking the hallways and rooms of her namesake building. Nothing negative's ever been reported, so we can only hope that life on the Other Side has softened her views and that she approves of how the school has progressed into the 21st century.
