It was a wonderful site to see as a child. My first visit was in the mid 80's and it was beautiful. My family and I then went to the candy shop at the lower side of the mountain. Good memories.

i was their when the ship burnt down

I use to work for padot, use to work near it a lot it was in vary sad shape. To bad our state did not try to save it when they may have been able. It could have been great again for more generations. See bums were living in it burning anything they could and then it's sad so sad.

Hi Clinton,

Wasn't is wonderful to see those old pictures of the Ship's Hotel? Yes, those old picture sure bring back a lot of wonderful memories. When standing there you felt like you were standing on top of the world and looking as far as the eye could possibly see. The candy shop was one of my favorite memories too.
