Experience the excitement of Pennsylvania's Early American history at the 32nd annual Penn’s Colony Festival and Folk Art Marketplace on Sept. 19-20 and Sept. 26-27.
Rain or shine, the family-oriented event will be held on 12 acres of easy walking, tree-lined grounds at Penn’s Colony Village, 365 Saxonburg Blvd., Saxonburg, Butler County (just minutes north of Pittsburgh). Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. The event recreates a bustling colonial village complete with battle re-enactments, live Irish, English and Scottish music performances, and other entertainment reminiscent of the historic French and Indian War period.
In the marketplace, more than 185 juried craftsmen and artisans will showcase a variety of quality, handmade-in-America contemporary and traditional works for the home and garden, seasonal decorations, gifts and personal accessories. There will also be horse-drawn surrey rides, food booths, sing-a-longs, and demonstrations of various trade and home crafts such as blacksmithing, tin-punching, needle arts and glass-blowing.
Admission: Adult (ages 16-59) $8, Senior Citizen (age 60+) $6, Child (8-15) $5, Children 7 years old and younger are free.
