Changes in the Montrose July 4th event for 2019
1. Methodist Church is no longer serving breakfast
2. Saint Paul's Episcopal Church breakfast on July 4th beginning at 8:00 a.m. until gone. The breakfast will feature an egg, ham, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Take out or eat in. There will be drinks, yogurt, and other breakfast items. Cost is $8.50 for adults, children 5-12 $4.50 and kids under 5 free. Sponsored by 'Stop the Stigma'.
3. Race registration on line at www.montroseklr.com
4. Fireworks at dusk on July 4th. July 5th is rain date
5. July 4th event now sponsored by Kiwanis and Lions Clubs.

It has been about 30 years since I have been in Montrose for the 4th of July activities. I am so excited to come home this year. I have mixed emotions about this. 1. It is so sad to see all the great business that use to line the streets many years ago gone. 2. I am excited to come home to the great Meteor country. My home, a place that is near and dear to my heart. I am looking forward in the future to be part of the Meteor alumni band. I missed out a few years ago.
