Mayfest of Huntingdon

Spanning the course of history, Mayfest is the only festival of its kind in Pennsylvania. Held annually on the last Saturday of April, April 25, 2009, rain or shine, from 9:00 until 5:00. Living history and period-correct dancing, music, re-enactors and demonstrators present history through interactive games and song. Local non-profit organizations offer children’s activities and educational fun along with food and craft vendors. Visitors are encouraged to wear a costume to join in the fun. Any period costume is welcome and adds to the fun of the day while allowing visitors to become a part of the event!

Mayfest was off the hook!!!! Great fun with the costumes and jails, good music and great food. Defintely worth the trip! I'm taking my whole extended family on the train for the weekend next year. What beautiful country and friendly folks! It's always the last Saturday of April so I'm reserving space now.

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know the schedule for Mayfest in Huntingdon, PA. It sounds like a really nice festival, especially if enough people dress in costumes. Huntingdon County always has such unique festival events.

Spring is almost here and it's exciting to see all the planned events now taking shape through Pennsylvania for 2009.
