Haunted Blair County

They never even took notice to this!

They never even took notice to this!

The best piece of evidence we have gotten was along the tracks in Tipton,PA. My husbands father owns ground right along the tracks and decided they would see what they could catch one night they where bored. So my husband and my brother in law went through the woods and down to the tracks. Now when the railroad was built they would build make shift house along the sides of the tracks as they were building them. Needless to say they thought the night uneventful. After getting back and plugging the camera into the computer to review the pictures. They captured the best evidence I have ever had the pleasure to review. The picture of a full man clothed in what looks like war era clothing which is strange, but you can see it all. I am posting a picture here. I am talking about the tracks behind Delgrossos formerly Blands park.

It could be the Blues of the North that he is wearing. I am uncertain however, which way he is standing. Face or back to the camera. Would you have an untouched or uncropped photo that you can post or send to me? I enlarged this photo and lightened it up. It is a man. You are positive that no one was in the area when taking the photo right? Sometimes we forget then later when we look at the pic, we see something we didn't think was there. Yes, I would like permission to do an investigation here. If it is a haunting, I would have to label it as a residual haunting or, an imprint of an image left behind from a time long ago. In either case, a residual or intelligent haunting, something must have happened here to hold onto these images. Do you know of any folklore of the area?

This is an exceptional image. I am going to have others take a look at it. I will post it on my Facebook page and ask for feedback. Has the photo been enlarged or enhanced in any way? You are sure that this isn't one of the people who were out that night?

Why did your family go looking? Is this place reputed to be haunted? If it is at all possible, could you send me a private email at: micksghosts@gmail.com? I would like to obtain specific directions and permission to go there. Patty knows who I am and I have read her page here for some years now. I am sure she can vouch for my sincerity.

Thank you

Thanks I appreciate you comment. The tracks are full of old remains of foundations from the workers houses. Could you tell what time period the clothes are? I was thinking civil war, but not sure. There actually is a cemetery along the tracks their too that is supposedly haunted. That is more behind the fire hall where the tracks are. The photo was taken behind the PPG field where everybody parks. If you ever wanted to look around there let me know my father in law owns a lot of land there so we have access.

Ghostly Tipton, PA
by: Patricia

Wow Danielle,

That photo is, without a doubt, impressive! I used to live in the Tipton area, not far from DelGrosso Park and I loved living there. I had no idea that area has a history of ghostly haunts. Every year, on the 4th of July, our family goes down the back roads to see Summer Thunder, it's the one thing I look foreward to each year and we always park in the area your picture was taken. Needless to say, I will always think of your photo and just who else is watching the fireworks with us. :)

Thank you so much for sharing this with us,

Patricia
