Berks County - Kempton, PA
The Annual PA Renewable Energy Festival was cancelled in 2012 due to drop in vendor participation and concerns over financial shortfall. No word yet if the 2013 festival will take place. It's sad to think this unique festival my be just a memory, especially since PA is just starting to realize how important renewable energy is to our country.

Camp Under the Stars in Berks County
The Pennsylvania Renewable Energy Festival is all about showing what we can do as we slowly transform from a fossil fuel lifestyle.
See a glimpse into the future as America learns through hands on workshops and demonstrations of what the world we know now will be doing to conserve our energy and find alternative ways to transform our homes, workplaces and transportation into solar energy, wind energy and efficient ways to adapt to our ever changing world. Learn what you can do now to make your home energy efficient while you explore ways to produce your own organic food, cooking in clay baked ovens and what is now known as "green homes".
Bring your family to camp under the stars in Berks County at the Kempton Community Center. The price is only $15.00 a night and you'll find exiting scenic countryside attractions, hiking trails close by and a variety of special events and attractions that will keep your family entertained the entire weekend.
Watch your children interact and learn ways they can take part in ways they can make our world green and environmentally friendly. The fair is relaxed and family-friendly. It offers a range of fun activities for youngsters, including a well-equipped playground. Face painting, clay modeling, chalk murals and other fun crafts will be practiced by parents and children alike.
September is an exciting month for Pennsylvania Festivals and Berks County Pennsylvania Renewable Energy Festival makes Pennsylvania proud to be on the cutting edge of renewable energy awareness.
