Artifest is a 2-day festival that celebrates the cultural diversity within the tri-state area showcasing artists and performers from various ethnic groups and cultural backgrounds. You will experience foods, cultural demonstrations and exhibits, re-enactor groups, a children’s hands-on activities area, and more.

Artifest 2011 will feature a New World Renaissance village. Multicultural Crafts, demonstrations, and performances represented from Pa German, Mexican, Indian, African, American Indian, Irish, Jamaican, Vietnamese, English, and more. At noon on Saturday, special guest appearance from members of the Philadelphia Mummers Quaker City String Band.

In 2010, the museum hosted its first ever multi-cultural event to celebrate the 30th year anniversary. Artifest featured live performances and exhibits by Native Americans, African-Americans, Asian Indians, Australians, Celtic, Colombians, Mexican, Moravians, Pennsylvania Dutch, and many others. Visitors overwhelmingly agreed that Artifest 2010 was truly remarkable. “One moment you are entwined in Shakespearean parody, then the next you find yourself on stage hula-hooping!”

Hello Tavia,

Wow, this sounds like a really wonderful festival coming in June in Allentown, PA. I love art festivals and with it being a multi-culture event I'm sure this is going to be amazing. I'm sure I'll find a way to attend this PA festvail.
