Apple Harvest Festival

by Sharon
(Altoona, PA)

This festival is held each year on the first and second weekend in October. It's held in Arendtsville, PA, where you'll find some of the most beautiful apple orchards. It's close to Gettysburg and there's lots of great crafts and food. I look forward to going every year. The locals are extremely friendly and they make it a wonderful experience.

Another Apple Fest Recommendation.
by: Mike

We've been attending the Apple Festival at Arendtsville every year that we have lived in the area (this will be the 7th). Our family looks forward to it and it has become a fall tradition. The crafts are first rate, the food is delicious, and the bucolic setting in rural PA cannot be beat. We have travelled from coast to coast, but this area is hard to beat.
