A Bear's Picnic 2014

Bear's Picnic Presents, L.L.C. will host it's 9th Annual Bear's Picnic Music Festival on July 17-21 at Liberty Festival Grounds in Roaring Branch, PA, our most beautiful and private venue to date!

A Bear's Picnic is a family oriented music festival designed to offer a well rounded experience that is soothing for the soul. We provide an atmosphere comprised of traditional camping, children's activities and, of course, our own unique blend of music and fine art. For the past eight years it has attracted followers from around the world, reunited families, and reconnected friends.

The festival is shaped by past experiences of attending, working and promoting festivals nationwide. We learned from promoters and attendees what works the best and is desired the most. We pledged to focus on producing a family event in a safe and relaxing atmosphere with meaningful music.

Thus, A Bear's Picnic was born in the Summer of 2006. Since its inception we have outgrown venues such as Friendship Park, Milton, PA., Lincoln Park in Laurelton, PA., and Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville,PA., before settling into the serene and natural surrounding of Liberty Festival Grounds in Roaring Branch, PA. Recently established, this venue eliminates many restrictions imposed by previous locations. Located on a 164 acre family farm, the venue borders thousands of acres of State Game Lands.

Activities

Every year A Bear's Picnic attracts various artists with impromptu performances, jamming with visitors and hosting instrumental workshops. Artist signings will be held at the merchandise booth.

In addition to superb music, late night drum circles and community fires, the festival atmosphere attracts a wide variety of food, fine art, live painting and craft vendors.

Our morning Yoga workshop is a fresh way to wake up before visiting The Grateful Gallery Tour, a rock'n roll art gallery featuring works from the early 1960's to present. On display is rare originals and prints from artists such as Jerry Garcia, Micky Hart, Billy Kreutzman, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley, John Warner and Mike Dubois.

For the young people we have the Bear Club Den, our children's activity area led by Mike Turk, a Vermont certified teacher of ten years. The activities include arts and craft projects, scavenger hunt, daily music lessons, a children parade and onstage performance on Sunday.
